Terms of Service
These terms apply to Culterix (culterix.com), our apps and any tools that connect to it, together called “Culterix”. By using Culterix you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
1. What Culterix is
Culterix is a place to rate and review films, shows and music, keep a diary, make lists and playlists, follow other members, compare taste, and read culture news. It has three parts: Culterix Music, Culterix Media and Culterix News.
2. Who can use it
Anyone can browse. To create an account you must be at least 13. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian’s permission.
3. Your account
You sign in with an email and password. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account. Your public username, display name, photo, bio and activity are shown to other people as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not choose names or photos that are abusive, misleading or sexual.
4. What you post
You keep ownership of what you post: ratings, reviews, comments, lists, playlists, bios and profile photos. You give Culterix a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, show, share and moderate it as part of the service (including in previews of links you or others share).
5. Rules
Do not post or upload anything that:
- is sexual, contains nudity, or sexualises anyone (this is strictly prohibited, including in names and profile photos);
- is hateful, abusive, threatening, or harasses or targets a person or group, in any language;
- is illegal, promotes violence or self-harm, or exploits minors;
- is spam, a scam, or an attempt to trick people or take over accounts;
- infringes someone else’s rights, or contains someone’s private information.
Ordinary informal language is fine. We use automatic filters and member reports to find content that breaks these rules. Automatic tools make mistakes, so tell us if something was blocked or missed. We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break the rules, and we may do so without notice when the risk is serious.
6. Third-party services and content
- Film and show information comes from third-party databases. Music information and artwork come from open music databases and Apple’s public music search.
- Music playback. Culterix does not store or host audio. It plays 30-second previews provided by Apple, and full songs through YouTube’s official embedded player, which is subject to YouTube’s own terms. Some songs may not be available, and availability can change.
- Spotify import. You can bring playlists in from files you export from Spotify yourself. Culterix does not log in to Spotify and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Spotify, Apple, YouTube, Discord or any film or music service. Their names belong to their owners.
- Discord status (optional). If you turn it on and run the helper program, your current song is shown on your Discord profile through your own Discord app. You are responsible for your Discord privacy settings.
- We link to other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
7. Our content
The Culterix name, logo, design and our written content belong to us or our licensors. Please do not copy or republish them in bulk, or scrape the service, without asking.
8. Not professional advice
Culterix is for information and entertainment. Nothing on it is financial, medical or legal advice.
9. The service is provided “as is”
Culterix is a young product and it changes often. We do not promise it will be error-free or always available, and features may change or stop. Recommendations, match scores and rankings are automatic and only for fun.
10. Ending things
You can stop using Culterix at any time and can delete your content. To delete your account and its data, email us at Culterix.Co@gmail.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Culterix is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, or for content posted by members.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as Culterix grows. When we make important changes we will change the date at the top. Using Culterix after that means you accept the update.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
